Child Safety Week: This week is Child Safety Week in the Diocese of Sale and coincides with National Child Protection Week.

CSW raises awareness about the community’s collective responsibility for the care, safety and wellbeing of children and young people. This year, the focus is Every child, in every community, needs a fair go

For us as a Catholic school, it provides an opportunity to emphasise our strong commitment to the safety and wellbeing of young people in our care, and the important role we play in creating safe and nurturing environments at school and home, online, and in the community.

We encourage you to discuss with your child/ren what a safe environment is at your home, with your family and within your social cycles and communities.

The link below is a message from the Bishop and Director of Education for the diocese of Sale. https://clickv.ie/w/Og9t.

Esmart Tips for Parents

Junior News

What an incredibly fun-filled week we just had! Between the Author visit from Adam Wallace where he shared story writing and illustrating tips, with a side of comedy that had us all in stitches. To our Junior Teddy Bear picnic, where students giggled their way through different obstacles like rivers and forests and caves! Book Week costumes were amazing again this year! (Thank you Mums and Dads!) and it was so enjoyable to see students parading around for parents for the first time in a few years! A big thank you to all the families who came to celebrate our Father’s Day Breakfast and Morning Maths activities, hopefully you enjoyed your food and some time in the classroom with your kids.

For the last few weeks of Term 3, Junior students will be inviting families to a F-2 Mass, on Thursday the 15th of September at 9:15am in the Church. Please come along and share in the celebration of our Religious Education Inquiry Topic this term about LOVE. We will also be dressing up one final time for the term for our Footy Day celebrations. Please see the flyer below for full details.

To finish off our fun week some Junior students have written about their favourite events and activities to share with you!

Middle/Senior News

The middle and senior school teachers and students would like to wish Charlotte Hughes and Oscar McGeachin all the best for tonight’s Lions Club Speech final. Whatever the result, we are proud of you both!

As we reflect on Term 3 we feel very grateful for the many opportunities to learn together that we have had, both in the classroom and extra-curricula. Thanks for your participation and support from home and keeping an eye on the ‘dates to remember’ section of the newsletter, we understand how busy life can get for families so it is greatly appreciated.

Enjoy a lovely holiday break!
