Feedback Surveys

Dear Parent or Carer,

The period of remote learning has been a challenging time for us all, but despite the major disruptions to normal activities, there will be many valuable lessons derived from this period that we as a school, and the system, wish to take forward.

Below is a link to an optional survey in order to help capture the learnings from the remote learning period.

The surveys are designed to be a quick capture of learnings while the experience is fresh, and are not designed to capture every aspect of schooling during the  lockdown period. Your feedback will be valuable in learning from the experience and improving education outcomes. More about why we should capture learnings at this time (from Dr Simon Breakspear, Agile Schools)  Here is the link to the survey. It is expected the survey will take approximately 10 minutes to complete.

Parent Feedback Survey

Thank you for taking the time to contribute to our learnings as a school and education system.

Anne Maree & staff

Today we celebrated with a special lunch for the children and some wellbeing activities to acknowledge the end of term and all our achievements. The children have loved being back at school with their friends and teachers but are very tired and are looking forward to a break. Once again we would like to applaud the children's amazing learning journey.

Semester 1 Reports

Today children brought home their School Report for Semester 1. Please read the note inside the front cover to explain the differences in this years report. You will find that there is no A-E score (as per Government guidelines) for Semester 1. We have included a checklist and overview statement for each Learning Area. You will also find an English, Maths and General Comment.

Along with the report , you will receive samples of children's work in their Snapshot of Learning books.

The combination of adjusted school reports ,Snapshot of Learning books, and your own observations working with your child at home,  should give parents a clear indication of their child's learning over Term 1 and Term 2.

Parent Teacher Interviews

Teachers will conduct Parent Teacher interviews in the first few weeks of Term 3.

At this stage this may need to be via Zoom depending on regulations.Further notification will be sent when interviews finalised.

Program Support Group meetings/zoom sessions will go ahead this term and early next term. Your child's teacher will contact you on regards to this.

St Vinnies Winter Appeal

THANK YOU

Thank you for your support our St Vinnies Winter Appeal. We received  wonderful donations that will help out many people in our local area who need extra support during this time. A hot meal, some warm clothes are a simple but effective way to help our neighbours. We received a great variety of donations for which we are very appreciative.

Real Eggs

I was delighted this week to be the first customer for Sam ( Year 3) who sold his chickens Charlotte, Ginger & Mr & Mrs Fatty eggs to a eager customer. I can't wait to cook with these beautiful eggs on the weekend. I see a Zucchini quiche on the menu.  The teachers are all lining up to buy!

Will done on this great initiative Sam!

I'm still dreaming of building a chook pen and run at St Timothy's one day!

June holidays

Yes, it is holiday time. Whilst onsite learning seems to have just restarted, the children , staff and I'm  sure parents are ready for a break.

We are currently maintaining the same regulations about on site for Term 3 as exist this term. These will not change until given the direction by Catholic Education Melbourne, Education Department and Health authorities.

I sincerely thank families for adhering to the regulations set and keeping St Timothy's a safe community for all.
