Dear Parents/Carers, What a busy two weeks it will be to conclude the remainder of my time at MIPS until Term Four! Today, I met with the team working at improving the large car-park ‘garden’ area. Tomorrow, a group of educators from Padua College in Brisbane fly down to spend the day learning from us around elements we have implemented such as Assessment Capable Learners and Inquiry Learning. Tuesday, some students participate in the Cross Country Championship. Tuesday/Wednesday, Year 5 have their Gold Discovery Day. Friday is our Athletics Carnival. School Photos take place the week after that. On Thursday 16th June, we will have a Cyber Safety presentation by Constable Bollard with our senior student and then with parents that evening at 6PM. We then host a diocesan Principals’ meeting on the Friday followed by the Kinder and new families Welcome Barbecue from 6pm! Our congratulations again to Mrs. Mizzi, Mrs. Moore and Mrs. George who are each stepping up into new leadership roles beginning Week 9. Tell Them From Me (TTFM) surveys commence this week for us. Students from Years 4 to 6 will be completing theirs this week. Parent access will commence in the coming weeks. Before I head off temporarily, I want to say a big Thank You to you as well. The partnership we share is one I value highly. I am just so proud of everything we continue to accomplish for our young people. I will be singing your praises in Kellyville. Thank you for your ongoing supprt, Mr Stephen Dowd Principal |
THEY'RE HERE!
Fantastic news, our boxes to collect soft plastics have arrived and have popped up all over the school! There are boxes next to the front gate, near the entrance to the TAS, outside the Year 5 rooms and at before and after school care.
I wonder which box will be the first to fill up?
Thank you to the families who have already started collecting.
Mrs Tara George
