The end of the school year is fast approaching. Teachers are busy preparing individual student reports and preparing information to be handed onto next years teachers. We are also preparing for our annual Christmas Carols extravaganza in addition to Presentation Day and Kindergarten Graduation. 

Tonight is our last P&C Meeting for the year. I would like to acknowledge the hardworking P&C Executive Team and the old P&C hands who have guided this new team throughout the year. It has been wonderful to see the energy new faces have brought to the events that have been run throughout the year. The addition of Nicole Maytom to the canteen and the Canteen Committee who have worked closely with her have ensured that our school canteen has achieved certification as a Healthy Canteen.  

I would also like to thank all the volunteers who have worked in our classrooms this year to support student learning. Your partnership with our school enriches and supports the learning of all students.

Order forms will be sent home today for you to purchase a Dudley PS 2019 year book. The cost will be $20 per book.

Order forms and payment must be returned to school by Friday 6 December. Books will be sent home with students week 9 term 4.

As we are coming to the end of the year it is time to finalise accounts.

Wednesday 11 December will be the last day for school banking this year.

Thank you to everyone who has taken part in this wonderful incentive and thank you to Renee Sutherland for her time given to allow it to be possible.

The year 6 clap out will be 2.45pm on Wednesday 18 December. All are welcome.

CAROLS NIGHT TUESDAY 10 DECEMBER 5.45PM

We look forward to getting into the festive spirit next week at the school Carols Night to be held on the basketball court on Tuesday 10 December.

The canteen is creating its delicious sushi that families have pre-ordered and will be available from the canteen area from 5.45pm.

We will also have watermelon Christmas Trees, icey-poles, popcorn, home-made lemonade and Christmas goodies for sale.  If you can bring a re-useable cup from home for the lemonade that would be great.

Can you help make some nut-free festive treats we can sell on the night? You can drop them into the canteen during the day or bring them along to the P&C stall on the night.  Goodies such as gingerbread, shortbread, cookies, cupcakes, rum balls etc much appreciated.

Please email us if you have any queries or would like to offer to help serving or setting up or can help out in any way on the night. We’ll be selling raffle tickets for some fantastic prizes and have some enviro-friendly Christmas craft for the kids to make.

We encourage everyone to help make this an eco-friendly, sustainable event bringing nude food, minimising plastic, packaging and waste and ensuring all waste goes in the correct bins.

MANGO FUNDRAISER COLLECTION

Thank you to everyone who ordered mangoes for our fundraiser. These will be available for collection outside the canteen after school on Tuesday 10 December and also at the Carols event. We will post more info about this closer to the time.  

NEW SOCCER GOAL FOR PLAYGROUND

Well done to Artie Croal for taking the initiative to ask the P&C to purchase a new soccer goal so that there is now a pair of goals available for all students and it is great to see this already being well-used each morning in the playground.

FINAL P&C MEETING FOR 2019

Our last meeting for the year is on Wednesday 4 December at 7pm in the Staff Room, when we’ll also enjoy some festive fun.  Hope you can join us – all welcome.
