HEALTH TIPS

Head Lice

Head lice are tiny insect parasites that live on your head and feed on your scalp. Head lice are spread by head-to-head contact with another person who has head lice.  This kind of contact includes doing group work, playing, or hugging.

Tips for preventing head lice

·         Check your child’s hair regularly for head lice and eggs (‘nits’).  Use a metal fine tooth ‘nit’ comb and plenty of hair conditioner applied to the dry hair, to make the task easier and more effective.  To help children sit still for this, offer distracting activities, e.g. play a favourite video, provide games, iPad apps, offer a head massage.

·         Tie long hair back. Braid long hair and/or put it up if possible.

·         Consider applying hair gel or mousse. These do not prevent or repel lice but may help to keep stray hair strands from contact with other heads.

·         Avoid sharing combs or brushes.

·         Remind your child to avoid head-to-head contact with other children, e.g. when working at the computer with others, or when playing, or hugging.

If your child has head lice please notify the teacher. For more information:

UNIFORM SHOP

Sale items!

We have winter clearance items!

Size 2 winter jackets for $20

Microfibre Track pants in size 14 & 16 $10

Old style fleece track pants size 4 & 12 $15

New Size polo!

We now have a small stock of size XL polo in the students colour. As it is an adult sizing the price is $27.

Restocking

Over the last couple of weeks we have been receiving our stock.  Once they are checked they will be updated in Qkr!

Price increases :(

I’m sorry to say, the time had come that we must increase our uniform prices due to the cost increase from our supplier. We won’t be putting prices up until the end of term 2 so there’s still a little time for you to get uniforms at the current prices. This will affect most items, however there are a couple of items that we are able to leave as they are.

One particular rise is that our adult size range of student shirts will increase in line with the new XL polo as our supplier is now pricing them separately to the youth sizes.

Open Days and Ordering

I’d like to remind you all that there will be no open days until I am able to operate out of one space.  At present I have stock in a few different areas at the school so it makes opening more time consuming and complicated.

You can still order on Qkr! at anytime, or with a paper order form from the office.

Remember for any issues please contact me at rawlinson.uniforms@gmail.com I will endeavour to sort out any exchanges on my nominated volunteering days. You can also speak to the ladies in the office, and they can contact me on your behalf.
