Burton Primary School Newsletter

Term 1, Week 11, 2023

From the Principal

Dear Parents and Carers,

It has been a busy term, and next term the “busy” continues, right from day 1 when swimming lessons begin. Our swimming schedule is included as part of this newsletter. Swimming lessons happen daily from Monday May 1 to Friday May 5.

The Swimming Instructor in Charge at Elizabeth Aquadome has provided the following information for parents:

Information for parents:

  • Please enter the Aquadome building via the main entrance on Crockerton Road, Elizabeth.
  • A $2 spectator fee per day is applicable for any parent/guardian who would like to watch their child swim.
  • Parents are unable to photograph or video children, because of child protection reasons.
  • No glass in the pool area.  Eg. Glass water bottles.
  • No outside catered food is permitted in the venue.
  • Parents are asked not to communicate with the instructor or any child during the lesson. Direct communication in these situations is distracting and has an impact on the safety of the class. If parents need further information about the program or their child’s involvement, they must contact the class teacher.

Our Reception to Year 5 classes will all be swimming, while our Year 6 students will go to Aquatics at West Lakes Aquatics Centre on Wednesday May 3.

We trust that you have a safe, restful and happy holiday with your children.

(School returns on Monday May 1.)
