St Mary's Bulletin

Term 3 - Week 9 (18 September, 2020)

From the Principal

Dear St Mary's School Community

Book Week

“Curious Creatures – Wild Minds” was certainly the order of the day on Wednesday as we celebrated Book Week at St Mary’s.  The students and staff all looked amazing with some very creative interpretations of characters and costumes.  The children then had an enjoyable day listening to the various short-listed stories and completing a range of related activities in mixed-year level groups.  Thank you to all the teachers for creating meaningful and engaging activities and to the parents for organising great costumes for the children.

Learning Journeys

Information about the Learning Journeys afternoon went out to all families via Skoolbag on Monday.  We look forward to seeing you and your family on Tuesday, 22 September.

Mental Health PL

Ms Holmes, Mrs O’Malley and I will be attending a Mental Health Professional Learning opportunity on Thursday, 24 and Friday, 25 September.  Miss Walsh and Mrs Grant will be responsible for the school during this time.

If your family is not returning to St Mary’s in 2021 could you kindly advise the office at by the end of Term Three.  This will enable us to plan effectively for 2021. This does not apply to the students in Year Six in 2020 who are leaving to attend secondary school.

Summer Uniform

All students are required to wear the summer uniform for Term Four.  Should your child require new summer uniform items in preparation for the start of next term, the uniform shop will be open next Tuesday morning or alternatively you can access an order form on the school website. Any orders handed into the office will be filled and ready for collection next Tuesday.

On Friday we have our last assembly for this term at 8.50am in the Undercover Area.  The IPad raffle will be drawn at the assembly by the P&F!  All are welcome to attend.

God Bless and have a lovely weekend with your families,

Ms Adriana Coniglio
