Dear Community Members,

I sent the following message out via Skoolbag early this week.  Given the value of the message and just in case you missed the notification, please find this repeated below.

Welcome back to Term 2 after what has hopefully been a relaxing break and an opportunity for the entire community to reset for the new term.

I watched on in awe last term in relation to how school community managed in and around the shifting COVID protocols. The reports witnessed from other schools across the state highlighted the outstanding manner in which our school community adapted to the mandates and shifting change.

Credit for high levels of communication and endeavouring to sustained learning programs must go to the entire staff at the school; especially classroom teachers, administration staff and the leadership team. The commitment to maintaining “normal” operations was no easy task and coordinated extremely positively; kudos to Mr Pinkard, Miss Cole, Mrs Rudd and Miss Bavington.

School commences for the new term with some relaxed processes although we are still adhering to a range of precautions that will be communicated separately.

Finally, our school was fortunate to welcome Mr Pinkard as Principal for the majority of Term 1 and be thankful for his leadership and guidance over this period. Mr Pinkard has been successful in winning a permanent Principal’s role at Warriapendi PS and I certainly wish him all the very best with this new position.
