Learning & Teaching

We invite all families to attend

our

CELEBRATE THE LEARNING

Showcase of a range of children's work from throughout the year

THURSDAY 31st OCTOBER

5pm-7:30pm

BBQ Provided

On the evening the children are invited to attend between the nominated hours to showcase to their parents samples of work completed throughout the year.

The children are able to attend anytime between 5 and 7pm ( finishing no later than 7:30).

When surveyed, the children overwhelmingly indicated that having parents come to school and see their work was very important to them.  In recognition of this, we want to give as many parents as possible an opportunity to celebrate learning with their child/children.

A light dinner (BBQ) will be provided between 5:30 and 7pm.

Swimming

We have concluded a successful swimming program over the past two weeks. The children have all made pleasing progress. It was great to see the development of swimming skills and social skills.

Thank you to all our parent volunteers who were able to assist with walking to and from the pool.

Caring for Our School

It was lovely that after rain this week that our children in Year 5 and Year 6 were able to get outside and weed our school garden.

We were also able to clear our Kitchen Garden by the White Weatherboard.

We also made use of donated Woolworth's seed pots which after some care will be planted in upcoming weeks.

Tennis Clinics

This term Prep-6 will be involved with 4 weeks of tennis clinics provided by WE ARE TENNIS through Sporting Schools funding. We look forward to providing the children with this opportunity. We are extremely lucky that we have received over $5000 over 3 Terms to provide extra sporting opportunities/equipment for our children through government funding 'Sporting Schools'.

Walk to School

WALK, RIDE OR SCOOT TO/FROMSCHOOL

Please use this opportunity to encourage your child /children to walk, ride or scoot to school. It is great to develop healthy practices, which have both excellent physical and mental health rewards.
