Welcome back to what promises to be a very productive 2023. It was great to see all the students return with big smiles after the Christmas break. I am really looking forward to the opportunities that exist for the students this year.
The school week will run as the following:
Mrs Rosemarie Sirol will be teaching from Monday to Wednesday. Each morning block Mrs Sirol will be teaching our reading program focusing on comprehension. In term 1 I will be teaching the students writing, spelling and grammar. Mrs Colleen Gorman will be teaching the science, History and Geography curriculum each Thursday. Mr Martin Lee will be taking students for Technology as part of our STEM Program. Friday’s sport program; this Term will be swimming (depending on the weather). Music will take place each Wednesday morning. Our Gymnastics/gross motor program will continue each Friday morning with Nathan.
Homework will go home each Monday and handed in each Friday. The students will also need to read a book every night. I cannot stress how important it is for students to read every night. I have more books than you can poke a stick at in our library. We have also included last years Children Book award books as part of our collection. READ !READ !READ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Library will be on Wednesday afternoons and we appreciate each child having their own library bag to protect the library books. If students would like to change library books at lunchtime or of a Friday, for the weekend, they are more than welcome.
Hats are to be worn Term 1 and Term 4. No hat no play!
Water Bottle – Please ensure your child brings a water bottle to school each day and a piece of fruit for fruit break. We do have a Neverfail cooler system in the classroom so the students can refill when required.
It’s nice to be important….but it’s more important to be nice.
