School Leaders 2020

School Leaders Welcome Students to 2020

A message from our School Captain Dominic:

"Wishing everyone at Tumut High School a smooth transition into the new year. I look forward to witnessing the achievements of THS students both in school, and in the local community. Let 2020 be a year of saying "yes". Yes to opportunity, yes to individuality, yes to education, and of course, yes to having fun. I encourage you all to experiment with new interests, subjects, projects and hobbies. Find what you are passionate about, and explore the relevant opportunities offered at THS. Feel free to approach myself or any of the other school leaders at any time should you have any questions or suggestions about ways to improve our school."

School Captain Lori:

"As your school leaders we want to make this school the best it can be for you. I encourage all of you to take every opportunity and tell us what you want to see at Tumut High. Don't be afraid to come have a chat to any of us about absolutely anything, we are here to help. Bring on 2020!"

School Vice Captain Jamie:

"You may have seen me pretending to do work in the senior study at school or playing for the Eagles on weekends. I was thrilled to be voted as Tumut High's male vice captain and I'm looking forward to representing the student body as a leader in whatever ways possible. Come find me at anytime."

School Vice Captain Jess:

"Welcome to Tumut High. We look forward to sharing our great school with you this year. If you ever need anything I'm more than happy to help you out."

Student Stories and Student Success

Year 7 Borambola Camp

Year 7 students on Borambola Camp loved the great outdoors in particular the mud run. Some activities such as the rock climbing were hard work but fun.

Students also picked raft building, mini golf and mini Olympics as being fun and challenging. It was great to see the students building new friendships and taking on new opportunities.

Overall, Year 7 students loved Borambola and would like to thank the staff that joined them on this excursion.
