Making life easier...

Hopefully, the addition of 'Useful Links' 👆 will make BPS-related life a little easier. These will remain at the top of the newsletter and updated as required, rather than being 'littered' through the issue.

If you feel there should be additional school-based links included, please reach out on balmainps@gmail.com

SOCCER

SOCCER

Senior A Team

Today we played Annandale public school, we won 5-2 but it could of been a closer result our goalkeeper made some good saves. But it was a team effort and that’s why we won.

Player of the match goes to Elise G because she scored to brilliant goals and set up one goal.

Captain: Alf V

Senior B Team

Players of our matches are Alex S and Cormac K.

This week had 2 games. The first game went well because our formation was really good. Everyone played really well. The second game was hard. The other team played well and even though it was our second game of the day we still won by 1 goal!

Captain: Roman S

Senior C Team

This week we versed Annandale North C team. Everyone  played well together and the great teamwork lead us to another victory! 1-0. As everyone contributed to the end score, it was very hard to choose the player of the match but this week, it goes to Ginger. Ginger played well as goalie in the first half as every week and in the second half, played amazingly in midfield. Ginger did great passes and strikes! Well done to Ginger and every player this week.

Captain: Addie

Junior Team

This week we played Orange Grove. We played well but Nate was outstanding because even if Orange Grove scored, he would still be positive. He was encouraging and had a lot of stamina. He is this week's player of the match. The team played really well, we scored 2 goals which was one of our highest goals score. In the end we didn't score enough to beat them, 4-2.

Captain: Mason

Sonja didn’t get tired, she tried to make sure she got it correct and she tried her best.

Today we practised the dance from last year, and played the colour tap game.

🧘 Yoga 🧘

Spotlight on...

1/2 CULTIVATE!!!!

In 1/2C, we've been doing a lot of hands-on learning. We used Unifix cubes to help us visualise addition and subtraction, while recording the number sentences. We practised working in groups to share resources and communicate respectfully to complete tasks.

We also got to make a fruit salad! This incorporated what we're learning in Writing (Procedures) and Maths (Fractions). We recorded the materials and ingredients, as well as the instructions on how to make a fruit salad. We observed how a whole fruit can be cut up into 2, 4, and 8 equal pieces, and how these are represented using fractions. The best part about this activity was that we got to eat our fruit salad afterwards! Mmm...juicy oranges and pineapples!
