I'm absolutely astounded that this is the last newsletter for Term 1. I can't believe how quickly time has passed and how much we've put in to our first term of the year.
New classes, community BBQ, swimming carnival, zone swimming, regional swimming, regional hockey, Pulse Alive dance, new mural, National Young Leaders Day, election day BBQ and NAPLAN... and let's not forget our huge week 11 with 3-6 cross country, Easter Hat Parade and Colour Explosion.... and in and amongst that, we did so much learning, with all classes getting straight to business and performing well.
We will be starting Term 2 with just as much passion and activity. Staff will return on Monday 24 April for School Development Day, which has an important focus on Aboriginal Education. Our team will be exploring our moral purpose and commitment to Aboriginal Education and strengthening our way forward. We will be joined by proud Darug artist, Melissa Barton who will guide us through learning and artwork. Our Director, Educational Leadership. Dr Alexandra Mandel will also be joining our team for this experience.
ANZAC Events
I am extremely proud to announce that we will have our school represented at Ingleburn RSL for the ANZAC Day Dawn Service. I will be in attendance from 4.45am with our student leadership team. The service will commence at 5am. We will lay a wreath and pay our respects to those who fought and continue to fight for the freedom we enjoy today. Our community are most welcome to come to the service also.
