Well done to our team of swimmers who competed at the Engadine Zone PSSA swimming carnival on Tuesday 1 March 2022 at Engadine Leisure Centre. Congratulations to the following students who have qualified to compete at the Sydney East Regional swimming carnival at Homebush on Monday 14 March 2022. We wish you well in your events!

Last year, the Ngaramura Indigenous Corporation invited all primary school students to enter an art competition that represented Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander art, Māori art or Pacific Islands art. The artwork needed to express three important cultural values: Strong Identities - Safe Families - Love in Culture. 

Indie P, who is now in Year 7, entered the competition after connecting to culture through her art during lockdown. Indie is no stranger to producing beautiful artwork. When she was in Year 4, her design was printed on the 'We Belong' staff polo shirt.  She has gone from strength to strength embracing her father's cultural heritage with her mother's encouragement.

As Indie enjoyed her last days at Engadine West PS it was announced that she won 2nd prize with her meaningful artwork. Not only did she win $250 cash and a few goodies for herself, she also won $500 worth of Indigenous resources for our school that will be in the library for everyone to enjoy.

Well done to Abby B (6D) and Ava Mc (4K) who represented Elouera SLSC and to Kyah G (6D) who represented Wanda SLSC at the NSW Surf Life Saving Championships at Manly last week. 

• Abby was a semi-finalist in beach sprints coming 5th, she came 2nd in the mixed U12's relay, 10th in the 1km beach run and competed in the Cameron relay and flags. 
• Ava’s U9's relay team came 1st securing gold, she came 3rd in the U9's beach sprint heats and competed in flags.
• Kyah won gold in the U12's 1km beach run, came 6th in the U12's mixed relay, 9th in the U12's female relay, made the quarter final in sprints and completed in Cameron relay, all age relay and beach flags.

Student Statements of Account including 2022 curriculum initiatives will be emailed to parents/carers shortly. If you have recently changed your email address, please advise the school office and make sure to check your junk email folder. You will not receive a Statement of Account if all fees have been paid.

When paying via the link on the Statement of Account and you have fees in advance (unallocated credit) on your account, you may select USE CREDIT against owing items. Your unallocated credit may be used at any time and will roll over each year until your youngest child leaves Year 6.

If you would like to make an online payment to the Building Fund, + Add Other Item, type ‘Building Fund’ in the Description field and print your payment receipt.

As well as making payments via the link on your Statements of Account, school payments may also be made via the Engadine West PS website 'Make a Payment' tab. The 'Student Registration Number' is not required however you must complete all mandatory fields which contain the red asterisk (*).
