Newsletter - Term 3, Week 10

Message from the Principal

Dear Parent/Caregivers of Bidwill Public School,

We have reached the last week of term 3, what a week it has been. I would like to thank you all for following the strict health guidelines surrounding Covid-19.  As a state, we continue to look after each other by following the rules.

Deputy Principal, Mrs Kim Cutting

On the last day of this term, we will farewell Mrs Cutting. I have worked with her for the last three years and I’ll miss her professionalism, dedication and strong moral purpose to improve all student and teacher learning.

Her enduring legacy will be that students and teachers continue to develop a love of being a lifelong learner.

She will be the Deputy Principal at John Palmer Public School, the Ponds. It will be the Palmers gain and our loss but we wish her every success.

We know Bidwill will always have a special place in her heart. From all of us here at Bidwill Public School, goodbye and good luck!

Two New Deputy Principals

As a result of Mrs Cuttings departure, we have two new Instructional heads.  Mrs Jeanette Sutcliffe will replace Mrs Cutting and a return of Ms Alex Crearey as our second Instructional leader.

We welcome you both to your new roles.

Mrs Lewis will return to Bidwill PS next term, we welcome her back.

Holidays

A reminder, school holidays will commence on Monday, 28th September and all students will return on Monday, 12th October. There will be no staff development day in term 4.

We wish you all a very safe and happy holiday.

Road Safety

It has been brought to my attention that our young students are leaving the school without following safety precautions when crossing the road.

Please talk to your children about the need to cross the road safely.

Book Character Day

This Thursday, our school celebrated Book Character Day. Staff and students look fantastic!

I would like to thank you all for making a big effort to celebrate the importance of books and reading in your child’s life.

Yours in education,

Janine Macky

Principal
