Acknowledgement of Country

We Acknowledge the Gunditjmara people, the Traditional Owners of the land on which we are gathered today.

We respect and honour Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders, past, present and future. We acknowledge their stories, traditions and living cultures on this land and commit to building a brighter future together.

From the Principal

Dear Parents and Carers,

Our teachers and the majority of our 3-6 students are taking up the recommendation to wear masks indoors this week as a means of trying to minimise COVID transmission.  I ask parents to keep reminding their children of this.  It's also important to keep children home if they have any signs of cold symptoms.

The 5/6 students had a fabulous time at their Melbourne camp last week.  I thank the teachers and support staff for their dedication to giving the children this experience in such a busy environment.  All reports indicate that the students were a great group and actually slept both nights...(amazing!)

I was luck enough to accompany the 1/2 classes on their Big Day Out on Wednesday.  We managed to dodge the showers.

Our Winter Wellness morning is this Sunday.  I encourage all mums to buy their tickets for a relaxing and health inspiring morning.  We all need time to focus on ourselves occasionally.

Kind regards,

Olga Lyons, Principal

eSafety Information for parents

On last week’s newsletter we included a piece on social media concerns. It is so important that we as a school community (parents/carers, staff and students) are aware of both the wonders and dangers of social media. The Office of the eSafety Commissioner provides valuable advice on this topic.
