Panania North Public School

Newsletter - 28th August 2020

Thank you!

I would like to take this moment to say thank you to all Panania North students, staff and parents.

I have been lucky enough to relieve for Ms Loveridge this week and experience what she does on a day to day basis. It's been amazing to walk into classrooms and see what students are learning and to see how teachers are teaching.

I have been able to see how lucky we all are to be part of this amazing school community. Students are engaged and thriving in their learning, teachers willing to do whatever it takes for students to succeed and the support staff are our moving cogs which make all the magic happen. During my time here at Panania North I have not been any prouder than what I am today to say that I work at this fabulous school. We truly are lucky to be part of this community that is just so supportive and positive.

So let me thank all the students for being superstars not only are they persisting in their learning but they are also kind, caring and beautiful people. They really do make coming to work each day a dream.

Secondly, I would like to say thank you to the amazing staff, from the offices ladies, to the supportive staff and the teachers without you all and your hard work the school wouldn't be what it is today. You create such a positive environment for our students which enables them to feel safe and connected to this wonderful community.

Lastly, I would like to say thank to all the parents for allowing us to teach, guide and mentor your amazing children without your support we would not be the school that we are today. Thank you for allowing us to teach these amazing little people and keep living the dream.

Challenging Charlie

Hey parents and carers, Challenging Charlie here!

There are lots of ways you can challenge yourself every day!

Over the next two weeks, your children will learn new ways that they can persist and challenge themselves.

Please talk about how your children can be a Challenging Charlie at school and at home over these next two weeks.

I can't wait to see and hear how you can be just like me!

TLC for Kids - Tracky-Dack Day!

We're so impressed by your support for this great cause!

Thank you everyone for wearing your tracky's and donating so generously.

Who is TLC for Kids?

TLC for Kids is a children's charity providing relief and comfort in times of crisis - this can range from therapeutic distraction during painful medical procedures, to crucial practical, financial or emotional support for a sick child and their family in dark and difficult times. TLC for Kids is Australia’s fastest emergency response children’s charity, so funds raised from Tracky Dack Day have a direct and immediate impact on the lives of sick kids.

JERSEY DAY Friday 4th September 2020

Next Friday 4th September students and teachers are asked to wear their favourite sporting jersey to school to show their support for the Donate Life network.

JERSEY DAY has been inspired by the story of NATHAN GREMMO who was tragically lost in an accident in May 2015. Nathan’s family chose to give the gift of life to others to honour the legacy of Nathan’s generous personality.

This campaign is all about raising awareness – there is no requirement to raise funds. Simply wear your favourite sporting jersey to school on Friday 4th September, 2020 and begin the conversation with your friends and family about organ donation.

*School shorts/skort to be worn with jerseys and students participating in PSSA on Friday will have to bring their uniform to play in as they will not be allowed to represent the school in their jerseys.

Tell them from me - Parent survey reminder

Below is a link to our 2020 TTFM Parent Survey. We would greatly appreciate all our families to participate in 2020. The survey will take around 10 minutes to complete.

Celebrating Dads this Father’s Day through Best Dad Moments!

#bestdadmoments is something all students, dads and partners can do together!

We want all our students to draw their favourite Best Dad Moment and write a special message to give to dad this Father’s Day. Kids can do this at school or at home with their dad. Pick a moment and bring it to life through drawing!

Why not post the special drawing and message from your kids using the hashtag #bestdadmoments and share it with us and The Fathering Project!

The Fathering Project has invited celebrities and sporting personalities to also record their Best Dad Moments and share them on The Fathering Project’s Celebrating Dads Gallery. Go to www.thefatheringproject.org and check them out!
