W E E K 11, T E R M 1 - 11 April 2019

Term 1 Assembly

Students were presented with their Award Certificates at our Term 1 Assembly on Wednesday.  Certificates were awarded for Academic Achievement, Improved Effort and Achievement, Artistic Flair, Consistent effort, Independent Motivated Learning, Continued Effort to Improve Learning, Self Directed Learning, Consistent Effort in all Learning Areas and Responsible and dedicated approach to all learning areas. Our Swimming Champions were awarded their trophies,  Term 1 Eco Warriors received their medals and Attendance Awards were presented to students with above 96% attendance.    Thank you to all the parents who came along it was great to see so many in attendance.  

Leadership Day Yr 6

We have had a good response from Year 6 students wanting to attend the Leadership Day on 6 May 2019.  A bus has been arranged to transport the students.  Further details will be sent home next term with departure and return times.  If your child hasn't returned their note, please do so as soon as possible.  This is a great opportunity and we don't want anyone to miss out.

ANZAC Day

 ANZAC Day is on Thursday 25 April 2019 which is during our school holiday break.  Our School Choir will be singing at the ceremony and we ask that as many families as possible can be in attendance.  Students are to wear full school uniform including their school hat.  Please meet at the Wooli Bowling Club car park at 10:30am in preparation for the march to the Cenotaph.  Thank you to Mel Smith for volunteering her time to lead the Choir.

SCHOOL PHOTO DAY - Wednesday 8 May 2019

Our School Photo Day is scheduled for Wednesday 8 May 2019.  Photo Packs will be sent home the first week back of term 2.   These envelopes are personalised with each student’s name.  Please ensure that your child’s envelope is returned to school on photo day Wednesday 8 May 2019 with payment enclosed or with your receipt number, if you elected to pay online.  Envelopes are available at the office for families wishing to have sibling photos.  Sibling photos  can only be paid online before photo day or paid by cash in the envelope on photo day.  Please have the correct money as change cannot be given.  Students are to be in full school uniform.  (School shirt, black shorts/skirt and appropriate footwear). 

 

 

Taj Selected for the MNC U11 Rugby League Team

Congratulations to Taj Hextall who has been selected in the Mid North Coast Rugby League team to compete at Yamba on Thursday 2 May 2019.  At these trials players will be selected for the North Coast team.  We wish Taj all the very best with this next challenge.

Small Schools Cross Country - Friday 12 April 2019

Good luck to our Cross Country Team - Radha, Bailey, Hunter, Levi and Normie.  These students will compete at Junction Hill tomorrow in the Small Schools Cross Country event.  Students who qualify will go on to the Clarence District Cross Country on 7 May 2019.  

Farewell Di

At the Term 1 Assembly on Wednesday we had the opportunity to farewell our long standing Cleaner - Di Wilkie.  Di is retiring after 26 years of service.  We all wish her the very best for the future and hope she enjoys her semi retirement. 

Round 1 Boy's Soccer

Our Boys Soccer team will be competing in the first round of the PSSA Soccer Knockout on 7 May 2019.  They will be travelling to Corindi by bus.  The team and travel times are not available at this time.  Further details will be sent out next term.  

Wild About Wooli Art Show

Ours student's art works will be on display at the annual Wild About Wooli Art Show over the Easter Long weekend.  The Exhibition will open on Friday 19 April 2019 at 6:30pm and will be on display on Saturday from 10am to 6pm and again on Sunday from 11am  to 3pm.   

Students to have their own Headphones

Parents are reminded that students are to have their own headphones and they need to be labeled with their name.  Students are responsible for looking after their headphones and  are for their use only.
