From the Principal.....

Dear Parents & Caregivers,

The last two weeks has been filled with many different events including preparation for winter sport, our PTA School Disco, learning about how to be bully free, taking part in a Bullying Free School Survey and participating enthusiastically in our School Cross Country. Please see the Cross Country Photo Gallery on our Facebook Page.

We were so impressed with the way our tamariki participated in our School Cross Country and their support of each other. A special thank you to our PTA for providing a free sausage sizzle  and for the parents who came down and cheered our tamariki on, to keep running!

Next week we have Elgregoe the Magician performing at our school on Tuesday afternoon. During his show, Elgregoe weaves his skills as a magician, ventriloquist and presenter, with a message that teaches children key values for a great day at school. There is a clear message aimed at creating positive behaviour and a bully-free environment.

Next Thursday our hard working Kaitiaki have organised an Earth Bake Sale to celebrate Earth Day and raise funds for our school gardens.

Please see the poster below ....

Next Friday 3rd June is our Katote Kahui Ako (Cluster of 9 Kaiapoi schools) Teacher Only Day and all of our staff will be attending Professional Development for the day at Kaiapoi High School and our School will be closed, to give everyone a longer Queen's Birthday weekend.

On Friday 10th June, Kama our Mana Ake Counsellor is hosting a Parent Drop In, for those parents or caregivers who would like to talk confidentially with a trained Mana Ake Counsellor, about any issues or challenges their children are facing. Please email office@stpatkai.school to book a half hour appointment with Kama, anytime between 1.30-3.30pm on Friday 10th June.
