It seems that the term only begun a few days ago but we are well and truly back in the swing of things.
We had our District Athletics Carnival last week. Congratulations to all our students who took part on the day. They were extremely well behaved, polite, enthusiastic and gave it their all. I know they did their very best in their respective competitions. We had 3 students be successful in reaching the regional competition. They were Riley, Dekkoda and Emily. The school is very proud of them and we wish them all the best in Canberra.
Education Week was held this week. This was an amazing opportunity for our school to showcase the wonderful learning opportunities that we provide here at Goulburn Public School. We had a range of activities throughout the week, ranging from a BBQ provided by the P and C, opening the classroom doors and letting the students display their exceptional mathematical skills and thinking, to a dress up day where the students came as their future selves and Bob Kirk, our local Councillor who came to share his story of how education help shape his life. All of our students thoroughly enjoyed the week and were very excited to share their experiences. A big thank you to the P and C who provided a great BBQ on the day. I know a lot of hungry tummies that enjoyed it.
The school continues to send out the current guidelines of Covid-19 and the appropriate measures that we need to take. Please read those carefully as they change quite quickly.
Lastly, lets continue the great start to the term where lots of learning takes place. My door is always open.
