Our tenth entry in the competition:
I taught a wolf to mediate. Now he’s aware wolf.
If there are any Dads out there that want to contribute an appropriate dad joke, please send them to;
josh.dorozenko@education.wa.edu.au.
We will be having a vote at the end of year for the best Dad joke with the winner receiving a Bunnings gift voucher. Are you going to be the punniest Dad at Scarborough Primary?
We have received a large number of new reading books for our students and I have a back log of book covering that I need help with. Are there any parents in our community who are able to help me cover some books over the next 2 weeks.
If you can spare an hour or two, or even 20 minutes, from 9.00am on Wednesdays, Thursdays or Fridays to help cover books in the library that would be fantastic. Due to Corona Virus restrictions I need to limit the number of parents in the library so please advise me by emailing Leanne.daniels@education.wa.edu.au if you are able to help.
Alternatively I am more than happy for you to take a pile of books home overnight to cover if you can’t spare time to come in to the library to cover books.
Kind regards
Leanne Daniels

Hello SPS Families!
P&C Pizza Night
The P&C is happy to announce that the Pizza Night is finally on! Let’s gather together on Friday 27 November at 5.30pm on the School Oval. The costs are $6 for adults and $2 for each child (siblings and family members are welcome).
If you placed an order for the postponed Pizza Night, which was to be held in March, then you don’t have to place a new order.
We welcome families that haven’t ordered yet to do so by next Friday the 20th of November. Order forms will be available at the front office or click here to download a form.
We look forward to seeing you all at the Pizza Night, but please remember to adhere to the 1.5m social distancing rule and be respectful of the general COVID guidelines when interacting with each other.
Next Meeting
The next P&C General Meeting will be held Monday 7 December at 6.30pm in the school library.
We welcome all Scarborough Primary families and community members to come along. It is a gold coin donation to become a paying member of the P&C. Only a financial member can participate in the democratic decision making processes of a P&C Association, so please remember your gold coin!
Containers for Change
Scarborough Primary School is now a donation point for Containers for Change. We hope you can support the P&C, every container we collect is worth 10c, this adds up quickly and the $$$ money can put back into the school as well as being rewarding for our environment.
The scheme focuses on the containers that are littered the most throughout Western Australia, find out what's eligible here ? https://bit.ly/3cGyz9D
The Containers for Change bins can be found at the school entry at Hinderwell Street near the Room 9 Heritage Building.
Alternatively, if you wish to donate at a refund point of your choosing you can quote our Scheme ID C10240685. If you prefer to attend a Reverse Vending Machine location you can find our barcode on our Facebook page or send us an email and we will forward it to you. This may be your preference if you have a larger donation and be rest assured that the money goes back to the P&C.
