STUDENT COUNCIL

City of Wanneroo School Leadership Showcase

To the Student Councillors and Ms Peeradina

I am riding a high from attending the City of Wanneroo School Leadership Showcase last night and seeing our School Councillors shine like the bright stars that they are as they presented their Community Action Plan.  I (barely) managed to contain my pride tonight and just wanted to share how amazing our students were in representing our school and themselves!  Huge congratulations to Ms Peeradina for her outstanding mentoring of our Councillors and helping them devise a CAP that I feel - without any bias - was the most ambitious and innovative of all projects presented.  I'm sure my fellow teachers in attendance would agree.  The Councillors were confident, spoke with poise and knew their projects inside and out.  I feel privileged to have been able to work with them on this through D&T.  Well done, Ms Peeradina and Councillors!

UNIFORM SHOP

Uniform Shop Coordinator Position available.

As my son will be in year 6 next year, and I now have a regular part time job, It is time to advertise for my replacement.

I will continue to run the uniform shop until a suitable replacement can be found and trained.

Running the uniform shop for the past 3 years has been a rewarding experience for me :).

The Uniform Shop Coordinator needs to have reasonable computer skills as well as their own computer and printer.  Experience in clothing or retail would be an advantage but not necessary.  Training and support will be provided.  The hours of operation can vary, anywhere from 3 hours per week in slow periods, to 20ish hours in our busiest back to school period.  While the school and uniform shop relies on you being available at certain times and on particular dates, you can make the hours your own outside of this.

If you are interested to know more, please email Sue at Rawlinson.uniforms@gmail.com.

Second hand items needed!

Currently we have limited second hand stock!

Lately I have not been able to fulfill all requests for second hand items.  So I would like to ask for families to donate your no longer needed, washed, clean uniform items so that we may be better able to fulfil these requests.  The Uniform Donations tub is in the undercover area near the canteen, or you could give them to the office for them to pass on to me.  We can even accept the not so nice, as those items get passed to the office for accident days.

Price Increases

To date there have been price increases in 2014/2015, 2020 and now 2022.  These increases were mostly able to be absorbed by our small profit margin and we are no longer able to absorb these costs.  The 2020 price rise was the first time the Uniform Shop had to pass the increase on to the Rawlinson community for the Leavers Shirt and the Staff Polos.

By now you would have seen the mid year prices rise on the Polo shirts and Fleece Jumpers.  Unfortunately it will not end there.  We have had another significant rise from our supplier and I am sorry to say, the next increase will be across the majority of items.  It will be implemented on close of business this year (November 24th) and we will open in 2023 with new prices across our range.

Again, I am sorry to have to implement this but I am currently without an alternative.
