P&C Executive
Last night we successfully held our P&C Annual General Meeting (AGM) via zoom and the outgoing executive were largely re-elected unchanged. The executive team are as follows:
President: Karley Bailey
Vice President: Siobhan Bailey
Secretary: Kathryn Raymer
Treasurer: Patricia Hennessy
We are so fortunate to have such a strong, student focused P&C and I look forward to continuing to work alongside this great team.
Social Distancing in Schools
Unfortunately, over the past week we are seeing a significant increase in the number of parents gathering in the school grounds. Whilst we normally love having families involved in our little school, I urge you to adhere to the Department of Education and Health requirements when picking up and dropping off children. At present most schools prohibit parent access to the school grounds, however, as a smaller school we have not yet gone down this route. Instead we have asked parents to restrict visits where possible and requested a swift drop off if you do need to enter the school, rather than congregating for social purposes. Whilst dropping your child at the gate may be tough for some parents, this is an excellent opportunity to help your child develop some independence in a supportive environment.
Please be mindful of the safety measures in place so we can avoid having to move to the unfortunate position of having no parent access to the school during this difficult time.
Voluntary Contributions
At last night’s P&C AGM, it was unanimously decided that voluntary contributions are to remain unchanged this year at $35 per child or $60 per family. However, due to COVID-19 the school will not be sending out envelope requests for these contributions. Whilst you are welcome to make a contribution, I believe at this time the money could be better used in household budgets and spent by families.
Have a great week,
Rod White
