Welcome back to Term 3. We are excited about all the Learning & Teaching experiences planned for Term 3. Please remember that we welcome parents/carers to drop in for a chat or make an appointment if you have any questions about your child and their learning.
This term we welcome a number of International students over 7 weeks at St Timothy's. Our guests are staying for between 2 and 6 weeks and are spread over all 5 rooms.

Yichen He, Ella Xiaoya, Joyce Xiaoya, Eric Mao, Tim Wu, Justin Pan, Andy Lexing, Xinyuan Dong, Chen Quinham, Yuanyuan Xiao, Burton Lee, Jiahao He, Li Xuan Lu, Ren Yuan Chen, Pinyan Guo, Xuan Ya Cao. The children's visit is staggered across the term.
We also welcome a new student, Ckeizsha Cuyugan in Year 4/5.

CELEBRATION OF SACRAMENT
WEDNESDAY 31ST JULY
Our annual Walkathon will be on Wednesday 7th August. Sponsorship sheets were sent home last term. Additional forms are available at the office. A digital copy can be found later in e-newsletter. We appreciate all donations big and small from neighbours, friends and family. Once again our children will walk the school grounds to raise money for additional resources.
WEEK 8
A Term 3 School Closure Day has been scheduled for Week 8 - Thursday 5th September. On this day staff will work together to continue our Intervention Assessment Professional Development. After completing an 8 week program during Staff Meetings, a closure day will assist us to implement future strategies and practices to better assess and implement assessment, teaching and learning for all children.
Week 10
It is that time of the year when our Year 5 & 6 students head off to camp. This year we are going to Sovereign Hill, the alternate camp is Stringybark Adventure Camp Gembrook.
Camps are always an exciting addition to regular classroom and schoolyard learning & teaching activities and build on both social and academic skills. Further information will be sent home over the next month to outline children's requirements for the camp.

Week 1, 3, 6, 7, 8
It is with great excitement that our children boarded the bus and headed off for our first Inter School Sports Program. Each week we will play a range of sporting games with St Christopher's Syndal and St Bridget's Greythorn including football , netball and Tball.

Parent assistance on any of these days would be greatly appreciated!
Week 7
Book Week is from Aug 17th to Aug 23rd. At St Timothy's we will have a Book Week Incursion Performance on Wednesday 28th August. On this date the children will be asked to come dressed up using 'Reading is my Secret Weapon' as their inspiration. The children will also be involved in a range of Literacy activities around the Short Listed books for 2019.
Week 4
'Footy Colours' day will be celebrated on August 8th. We ask that the children come dressed as a supporter of their favorite football team, or a sporting personality. It can be official jumpers , scarves and hats or the colours of that particular team.
The Year 6 Sports Captains will lead fun sporting activities throughout the day.
Parents and Friends will offer a 'Hot Dog' lunch day and order forms will be sent out shortly.

Our Sporting Schools Program for Term 3 is "Jr Jack Attack". We will be supplied with a teacher kit of lessons and a bowls "Jr Jack Attack" equipment kit. We are also very grateful to Bowls Australia who are supporting us by sending a bowls enthusiast to teach staff and children.
