Parent-Teacher Discussions

Mon 11 & Wed 13 March  |  3.15 pm - 5 pm  |  Whole School

Parent-Teacher Discussions will be held on Monday and Wednesday during Week 6 (note the later week due to Senior Camp being held during Week 5). To book a Parent-Teacher discussion, please visit www.parentinterviews.co.nz, enter the unique code WD4DAGYS and follow the instructions. Bookings will close on Friday 8 March at 10 pm. If you have any difficulties please seek help from your child's teacher. We look forward to seeing you at the discussions.  

Ara Pakeke - New Lynn Historic Clay Tours

Mon 11 - Thu 14 March  |   9 am - 12 pm  |  New Lynn

Ara Pakeke students will embark on a tour of New Lynn visiting historic sites from our suburbs' clay and ceramic past. This will include stopping in at the Te Toi Uku - Crown Lynn & Clayworks Museum.  There are four trips scheduled:  Mon 11 Mar - Tui 1 and Tui 2;  Tues 12 Mar - Tui 3 and Manuka 4; Weds 13 Mar - Manuka 5 and Manuka 6; Thu 14 Mar - Koromiko 8 and Koromiko 9. Stepping Up Groups Begin

Our Stepping Up programme for gifted and talented students in Years 4 - 6 will begin in Week 6. There are set criteria for the skills and knowledge required for each group and students are selected that meet the criteria.  At the end of Term 2 some groups will stop and other students will be offered the opportunity to take part.  Groups starting in Week 6 include: DigiCrest, Robotics, Coding, Mad Scientist, Maths, Singers, Sustainability, EPRO 8, Art, Science and Technics. Second Hand Uniform Sale

Tue 12 March  |  8.30 am - 9.30 am  |  Outside Reception

The ACG in conjunction with the Arahoe BOT are holding another second hand uniform sale. Jackets are only $15 for a limited time!  Shorts and skorts are $15. Shirts are $10 and hats are $5. Sizes are limited. We look forward to seeing you there.

Holi Celebration - Colour & Sausage Pre-Payments

Pre-Payments due:  Tue 19 March 3 pm  |  to Teachers or Office

For all students participating in our Holi Celebration, please note that the pre-order forms and money for purchasing coloured powder ($3) and/or a sausage sizzle ($2) is due by Tuesday 19 March, 3pm. Please hand your money and pre-order forms in with your child's name and room number clearly marked to the office or your classroom teacher. Additional pre-order forms are available at reception.

Zone Rippa Rugby Challenge

Selected Year 5 and 6 teams from Ara Tuakana will be taking part in the Zone Rippa Rugby Challenge on Wednesday 20 March at Waitemata Rugby Club, Swanson. Parent support will be needed on the day.

Holi Celebration

Namaste whanau! Our Arahoe Holi Celebration will be held on Friday 22 March at 2pm on the field. A friendly reminder for whanau intending to participate - please bring alternative clothing and a towel! We look forward to seeing you all there.
