Principal's Report

Welcome back to Term 4:

Term 4 has kicked off well, with our students stiving to do well and getting stuck into their learning. Term 4 is an exciting time with lots of fun activities and end of year celebrations. We look forward to involving the community in as many events as we can across the coming weeks so keep an eye on our calendar and our notices.

2022 Tell Them From Me - Parent and Carer Survey:

Our annual survey results are in, and we are so proud of the feedback. For the first time ever, we have recorded survey results above state average in all 7 areas. The following diagram shows a grey circle (state average) and a blue circle (Swansea Public School):

We have been working on our ‘Building a Restorative School’ project for nearly two years.  It is amazing seeing how our relational culture through a restorative lens is having such a collective positive impact on students, staff, and community.

We look forward to building on our partners in learning relationship and will continue to strive to do well to grow the gap between our results and the state average.

Together, we will grow that blue circle even bigger!

P&C Annual General Meeting (AGM) – 6:00pm Wednesday 26th October 2022:

On Wednesday evening next week, we are hosting our P&C AGM.  At the AGM all P&C positions are declared vacant so nominations and voting can take place.

While our P&C achieve outstanding things, we are a small group that we’d like to grow in numbers.

As they say, many hands make light work, so we encourage all parents and carers to consider coming along to our AGM on Wednesday 26th October, and think about either joining as a member, or putting yourself forward for a leadership role for 2023.

We hope to see you there!

Hunter Water visit

This week K-2 students got to enjoy the ‘Jollybops' Science Show - Let’s Love Water’. The students not only learnt about the importance of H20 and how to be water wise but also got to see some pretty amazing experiments and have some fun sing alongs.

Thanks for organising this amazing free show Miss Body.

We loved it.
