Respect Responsibility Personal Best

Term 2 Week 6

From The Principal

A big welcome back to all students! After such an unprecedented time we are starting to get back to ‘normal’. Well done to all of the students who settled quickly back in to their work routine and remembered our school values of Respect, Responsibility and Personal Best.

A big thank you to the parents/carers/grandparents who have done an amazing job helping with learning from home.

Just a reminder that adults still need to social distance and are asked not to come on to the school grounds unless necessary. We also ask that only 1 adult is in the office at a time. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Mrs Dunn and Mrs Plain are both on special leave due to medical conditions which impact their immune systems.  Mrs Wolfe and Mr Turner are sharing the teaching of 3/4 and both are keeping in close contact with Mrs Dunn. Mrs Ingall has taken over the role of learning and support teacher in Mrs Plain’s absence and Miss Wright will be teaching 4/5, 5 days a week. Mrs Hollins will continue to work from home, with Mrs Baylis in the office full-time.

P&C News

The next P&C meeting is planned for Wednesday June 10, 6.30pm via Zoom.

The PBL (Positive Behaviour for Learning) team will be presenting our new behaviour flowchart along with voting for the school’s PBL mascot.

A  Zoom invitation will be posted on the P&C Facebook page next Tuesday.

Canteen will re-open this Friday!

Overnight Excursions

As long as the COVID-19 situation continues to improve we are still hopeful of Stage 3 attending Canberra September 16-19.

Stage 2 are looking at an alternative to overnight in Sydney and probably for early Term 4. An expression of interest/survey will be sent to stage 2 parents in the coming weeks.

Reports

Semester 1 reports will be going home in week 10. They will be a modified version in line with the NSW Department of Education guidelines and have been adjusted to cater for the combination of students learning from school and at home.

COVID-19

School activities and operations continue to be inline with AHPPC guidelines.
