Learning & Teaching

Bump It Up Wall, Learning Intentions & Success Criteria

Over Term 3 & 4 you will see emerging in classrooms Bump it Up Walls reflecting our Learning  Intentions & Success Criteria focus in each classroom.

Bump it up walls combine the importance of visible learning in the classroom with an easy way to track  students’ progress towards a specific learning intention in any subject area.

Creating learning goals and success criteria help make explicit to students what they need to know, understand or do as a result of a teaching unit and included learning experiences.

The purpose of the bump it up strategy is to create a display where students can visually track their learning progress. It also helps you keep track of where your students are up to. The students can be proud of their achievements and set personal goals alongside teacher goals for individual children.

Parent Curriculum Overview Letters

Parents Curriculum Overview Letters from Classroom and Specialist teachers will be sent via Skoolbag App and email to all  families. These give a broad outline of the Learning & Teaching focus for the Term 3. The specific curriculum  is directed with the individual learning needs of each child in mind. This could be extra support or extension and is based on the Victorian Curriculum. Please speak to your class teacher if you have any specific questions in regards to the planned focus for your child/year level.

Happy 100 Days to our Prep Children.
