Principal's Report - Term 4 - Week 5

Week 5 Update

Dear parents, carers and community members,

I'd like to begin this update by thanking Maryanne Thompson and her tireless team of volunteers for organising such an enjoyable Colour Run event last Friday. It was a wonderful way to bring our community together for an entertaining and social evening.

I'd also like to congratulate our PSSA teams, along with their coaches, for such a great end to the year with each team winning their final round.

There are some terrific photographs of both events later in this newsletter.

Enjoy.

Sincerely,

Corinne Campbell

Principal

Community Hub News

Dear Families,

Bubs & Books’ Program

Our popular “Bubs & Books” program has returned in term 4.  We are meeting in the Before & After School care room, Block C from 10:00 am to 11:00 every Wednesday, last day will be Wednesday 30th November.

Children under the age of 5 years are welcome to join with their carers/ parents.  Amanda and Jennifer have generously volunteered to facilitate the program. Come along for songs, a new story every week and exciting crafts.

Swimming Program

Thanks to all those who have submitted the expression of interest form for the swimming program. Presently, the preferred days are Wednesday or Friday, afternoon sessions.   I will keep you posted for dates

Ms. Dianne Kersten from Parramatta Community College was recently at our school to register participants for the First Aid course. The practical session for the registered participants will happen on 22nd of November 2022.

Other weekly hub programs include English conversational classes on Mondays, Playgroup and ‘Bubs & Books’ on Wednesdays and Dance fitness on Fridays.

Do you have any other ideas for hub programs? What would you like to continue at the hub? Do you have any concerns with any existing programs? Are you struggling? Do you need help? Please feel free to contact me via email or phone during school hours from Mondays to Wednesdays and Fridays.

For more updates, please follow our face book page. For those who haven’t met me, I am Seetha, Community Hub leader at the school. I am a good listener and eager to meet you.

Cheers,

Seetha.
