Symptoms include diarrhoea, vomiting, stomach cramps and sometimes, fever.  Most cases in children are not serious, but it is very important to make sure that a child with gastro receives enough fluid.  If your child has gastro, keep them away from school for 48 hours after vomiting and diarrhoea have stopped.  If symptoms persist see your family doctor. The easiest way to prevent gastro is to make sure everyone in the family washes their hands regularly, especially before eating and after going to the toilet. HELPERS ARE STILL REQUIRED

Hello!  I hope you’ve had a fantastic start to the new school year.

The P&C will experience some significant departures this year with several long serving members moving on as their children graduate from Rawlinson.  As a result, we would love to see lots of new faces.

Please don’t rely on it being SOMEONE ELSE who will come to the meetings, run the uniform shop, volunteer at the canteen or run the disco.  BE THE SOMEONE ELSE so we don’t lose these fabulous things.

You don’t need to give a huge amount of yourself to make a difference. If you can’t attend every meeting, come to some or one.  If you can’t help at every event, help at some or one.  If you can’t volunteer every day in the canteen or uniform store, volunteer at some or one.

I know one thing that can hold you back from being the SOMEONE ELSE is the fear that the P&C are cliquey.  If you’ve ever come to a meeting, you will know that is not true at all in this case.  We are a diverse range of mums, dads and community members and we are all united in one common goal: to make a difference to our school and for our students now and in the future.  We make a pretty amazing team and we would love you to be a part of it too.

I really hope to see lots of SOMEONE ELSES at our first meeting on Wednesday 19th February at 7.30pm in the staff room.

Karen Cunningham

P & C President

Leavers Orders Closing Soon!

The leavers Shirts are a great and useful memento of our kids' time here at Rawlinson!

We have one more open for Leavers Sizing on Friday 14th February from 8.15 - 8.45am.  Come down if you need to check the size that you would like to order.  If you can't make it, the sizing of the leavers shirt is the same as the polo shirts we have.  Please remember to include the size you require on your order form!!!

I can take cash and credit payments on the day.

Paper order forms are available at the office, with the cut off being 9am on Friday.

Qkr! orders will be open to 5pm.

Late orders will not be accepted.

The next uniform open day will be the 28th February from 8.15am - 8.45am.

You can still order standard uniform items via the Qkr! app and by paper order form through the office on non-open days.

Volunteers

We have had a number of regular helpers whose children have now left us for high school and I would like to invite *new* volunteers to assist me with the running of the uniform shop.  (I still want you if you have helped once or twice!).  Training will be provided.  Please email Rawlinson.uniforms@gmail.com if you are interested in volunteering on open days or see me at this Fridays sausage Sizzle!

I'll look forward to seeing you on Friday!
