Math-a-thon
I wish to thank our parent community for the support and encouragement given to the students during this school event. The money raised so far has been very positive and will make an enormous difference to the number of devices we will be able to purchase for our children to use to enhance the learning in class. The children had a fun time with the challenge and really had to think hard to solve many Math challenges created by their teachers. Fun and learning is a great combination. Please continue to return your monies raised this week. Mr Haynes will upload photos onto our website to share the day with you at home.
Year 6 Graduation
This year with the many restrictions, we have had to be very creative as to how we will celebrate Year 6 students end of their primary years at St Andrew’s
December 16th: The Year 6 children will experience a very exciting fun day away participating in physical activities
December 15th: We are in the process of organising a Eucharistic celebration during the day for the children celebrated by Fr Luis
Following the Eucharist celebration a shared lunch will be organised by the school for the students
December 15th: Lately as restrictions have eased slightly, we are orgainising a parent on site certificate and prize giving presentation. This is a challenging task as parents still need to adhere to the 4m2 distancing rule. Further information will be sent home once all details are finalised and we have triple checked that all safety protocols are able to happen.
I wish to sincerely thank our parent community for their trust and support. This had contributed to the safety and wellbeing of our faith community and allowed the learning to continue as well as the enjoyment for learning.
The P&F Christmas Raffle
Today in the newsletter a finalised list of prizes has been advertised. A special thanks to Angela Hickey and the team for the great work in sourcing such great prizes. Please begin to sell tickets and send them in to the school office in a sealed envelope. Raffle ticket sheets will be attached to this newsletter as well. I wish to personally thank the many companies who in these very stressful times have donated such great and generous prizes.
Ms Ogilvie leaves our great community
Ms Ogilvie leaves us on Friday to begin her parental leave as she awaits the birth of her first child. Ms Ogilvie has been such a dedicated member of staff and will be missed by the students and staff. We wish her the best as she ventures into motherhood. God Bless you always.
Mrs Hatcher will take over the classroom responsibility until the end of the year. Mrs Hatcher is part of the teaching team in Kindergarten and has worked along-side Ms Ogilvie all year.
Transition Program ends this week
