Education Week

Education Week is an annual celebration of NSW public education and the achievements of our school, students and the education system.

This year we are celebrating with the theme: Creating futures- education changes lives.

At ZZPS we celebrate all types of learning that occurs in our school and we are proud of our responsibility in helping to shape the lives and create the future of today’s learners.

The Education department has suggested for a 4 week blitz, especially if we could not ensure covid safe measures for Education Week events. Therefore, we decided due to the unpredictable weather and our limited covered outdoor areas, we will celebrate Education Week with open classrooms later in the term.

In the meantime, I hope you have enjoyed our daily Facebook posts which were planned to give our families a glimpse into the daily activities and learning which occur in our Zig Zag classrooms where we “create futures for our students”.

Covid-Smart Settings at our School

Parental permission notes sent home today

Over the next few weeks ZZPS will be involved in two separate projects which require permission for students to participate.

1/Rural Access Gap Program- filming visit: 10th August.

A permission to publish form has been sent home today.

Filming will be occurring in classrooms to showcase our use of technology for student learning.

2/Ambassador Schools Research- Discovering what enables success for students in NSW public schools project

· A Student Survey Participant Information Statement for parents / carers and students.

· The Participant Information Statement Parent/Carer – Student survey -ONLY needs to be returned to school if you DO NOT want your child to be involved.

To withdraw your child’s participation, forms should be returned by Friday 26th August 2022.
