Meet and Greet Meetings
This week the teachers allocated time to meet with families. This is an important information sharing time for families to meet the new teacher. I thank you for making the time to attend this meeting and also to the teachers for taking time away from their families every night this week.
Staff Development Day
On Friday, 160 teachers gathered in our school hall from the three St. Andrew’s school sites.
The day was designed to continue to build teacher capacity in using Inquiry pedagogy as a means of building the learning capacity of every student. We have been on this journey for several years and have made great grounds with student learning and building independent and confident citizens. We were blessed to have had an internationally renowned speaker and author Mr Michael McDowell. Mr McDowell has written many books dedicated to improving student learning and building dynamic school learning environments. We will continue to work with Mr McDowell this year.
First Holy Communion Candidates
Please keep in your prayers the many candidates who will receive the Eucharist for the first time on Sunday the 21st March. This is a very special time for the students and their families.
