Sutton Public School

Week 5 Term 1 - 28th February

From the Principal

A big heartfelt thanks to all parents, teachers and students who made our Welcome BBQ such a success.  We were glad to meet and mingle with parents and to be given the opportunity to get to know a little more about you and your family.  We want every student in our school to understand they are known, valued and cared for.  We want all our parents to know it as well.

I hope you all enjoyed yourselves.  Thank you for the conversations shared and the positive feedback given.  The tone is set for a positive year ahead  as we work together to challenge our students to greatness!

P&C NEWS – WEEK 5, TERM 1 2020

Our NEXT MEETING is TERM 1, WEEK 8, THURSDAY 21st March 2020 at 7pm.

Please remember all are welcome; however if you can’t attend but would like something added to the agenda, please contact the P&C via email (suttonpublicschool@pandcaffiliate.org.au.) or on our Facebook page (@SPSPandCAssociation) to discuss.

Don’t forget we post all relevant P&C information and our events on our Facebook page, in the newsletter, on the noticeboard next to Kindergarten and via Skoolbag and all meeting minutes are available via the School website and upon request.

SUTTON COUNTRY FAIR 2020

Our biggest fundraiser for the year is upon us again. This year, the Sutton Country Fair will be held on SATURDAY 28th MARCH between 10am and 2pm.

Planning is well underway and we have a great team of people getting sponsors, collecting prizes, organising rides, other activities and food stalls.

Between now and the day of the Fair, you’ll no doubt be inundated with requests for volunteer help & donations for our white elephant, book and cake stalls, as well as reminders about raffle tickets and wristbands. It is a lot of information and the Fair Team will do our best to ensure information is disseminated in a clear, concise manner. So, keep an eye out in the newsletter, via the P&C Facebook page and Skoolbag.

Next week the signup.com will go live and you’ll be able to choose a shift or role to volunteer for on the day. We still have some coordination roles to fill so please don’t shy away from putting your hand up for one of these.

From next Tuesday and Thursday, we’ll be opening the P&C container at the rear of the School to begin taking donations for the white elephant and book stalls. Please remember that someone has to sort through the donations so we can’t accept anything you wouldn’t be happy to purchase yourself. Anything not sold at the Fair, must be disposed of responsibly by volunteers so it’s really important we don’t have too much left.

If you have questions please contact Linda on suttonpublicschool-fun@pandcaffiliate.org.au.
