Change of Date for Presentation Day – Now Friday 9 December
Last week, we were informed that due to circumstances beyond our control, we have had to move the date of our presentation day back a week due to unplanned work being carried out in Vincentia High School’s hall. Our Presentation day will now be held next Friday, 9 December. Apologies for the inconvenience this may have caused parents, but we hope to see you there.
P&C End of Year Disco
A reminder that our end of year disco will be held after school on Friday 9 December. Please return the note that was sent home previously and enclose $6 to cover the cost of a SAUSAGE SANDWICH, DRINK and DESSERT for your child. Please return the note by Thursday 8 December so that the P&C can confirm numbers.
School Picnic
Our students from K-5 will be travelling to Plantation Point on Thursday 15 December for our end of year picnic. There is no cost to this excursion, however, please make sure your child’s note is returned to enable them to attend.
Bunaan Opening
We were honoured to have Uncle Sonny Simms and Matt Simms officially open our Bunaan Yarning Circle last week, with Uncle Sonny delivering a touching Welcome to Country for our students and staff. We look forward to having Matt in our school on a regular basis next year.
Canteen News
Our canteen is continuing to be well supported each Wednesday. Please remember that snack foods, ice-creams etc should be purchased over the counter with cash, rather than being written on the lunch order bag. If your child is ordering a gluten free lunch, please identify on the order bag that they are gluten-free to ensure their needs are catered for.
We are fortunate to have had volunteers helping out in recent weeks but we would love more! When you assist in the canteen, your child/ren receive a free drink, lunch order and snack to sweeten the deal! 2 volunteers to assist our coordinator each week would be wonderful!

School Dates
A reminder that the Department of Education has allocated two Staff Development Days at the end of this term, which means the final school day of the year for students is Friday 16 December.
Students in Years 1-6 return on Tuesday 31 January with our lovely Kindergarten students commencing on Wednesday 1 February.
P&C Meeting
Our final P&C meeting of the year will be held next Tuesday 6 December, at 6pm in the library. I’ll take this opportunity to thank our extraordinary P&C members for the enormous contribution they make to our school. Ultimately our students are the beneficiaries of their selfless work, and we are all very grateful for the time they commit to make our school an even more amazing place to be. Thank you!
