The first day back for students in years 1-6 will be Tuesday January 31st, 2023.  Jamberoo staff will return to school on Friday 27th January 2023.

A reminder for 2023 Kindergarten parents that the Best Start Assessment dates for your child are either Tuesday 31st January or Wednesday 1st February 2023. Kindergarten students will commence their first day of ‘big school’ on Thursday 2nd February.

Staffing 2023

There will be two new teachers joining the Jamberoo staff next year. Miss Brooke Peterson will commence her substantive role as a classroom teacher at Jamberoo Public School and Mrs Taryn Green will be teaching on a Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. She will be covering RFF, planned collaboration/data sessions and providing strategic support for our students in literacy and numeracy in 2023. Both ladies are excited to work with the Jamberoo community and our wonderful students next year.

Also, Mrs Jacinta Milligan will be returning one day a week in 2023 after being on maternity leave over the past two years. Mrs Milligan will be working on Fridays next year, focusing on providing enrichment opportunities for our students in the areas of literacy, numeracy and extracurricular activities such as Tournament of the Minds, debating etc.

We are also pleased to announce that Mrs Justine McCormack will be the school’s relieving assistant principal for two days a week in 2023. Mrs McCormack has filled the role very well in the past and the school very much looks forward to her re-joining the leadership team next year.

The school would also like to thank two staff members who will departing Jamberoo Public School in 2023. Mrs Kirstin Kirby and Mrs Rachel Alexander have both contributed greatly to the school this year. We thank them both for their professionalism and unwavering commitment to the students and Jamberoo community. The school wishes them both every success in the years to come.

Share Our Space

As part of the Community Use of School Facilities Policy, School Infrastructure NSW (SINSW) is rolling out the Share Our Space Program to open school playgrounds, ovals and sports courts for general use over the Christmas school holiday period. Jamberoo Public School has been selected to run the Share Our Space Program, which means our school will be open to the general public. Our ovals and basketball court can be utilised by the Jamberoo community during the upcoming holidays. Starting on Wednesday 21st December 2022 and ending on Sunday January 22nd 2023, the school will be open each day during the holidays from 8am to 5pm. Our buildings will be locked, alarmed and secured. We encourage families to utilise our beautiful school during the holidays for picnics, exercise and quality family time.

The school will be unsupervised, so I encourage all parents/carers to supervise their children if they are on school grounds during the holidays.
