Acting Principal's Message

Hello families,

Welcome back for Term 2. This term is shaping up to be a busy one already.

As Mr Brown explained to you in his letter on Thursday April 6th, he has retired and will not be returning this term. A mass has been arranged to farewell him properly. All families are invited to attend Mass on SUNDAY MAY 7th at 2pm in the church. Following Mass there will be a gathering in the hall. If your child will be attending we ask that they come dressed in their school uniform.

In Mr Brown's absence I will be Acting Principal and Mrs Helen Howden will be Acting Deputy Principal, please do not hesitate to contact either of us should you need anything.

The process for appointing a new Principal will begin soon. I will keep you updated as the process takes place and you will be informed once a new Principal has been appointed.

WELCOME MRS WALLACE

We welcome Mrs Melinda Wallace, our new Maths Leader. She joins us from St. Luke's in Lalor. She has extensive experience in Maths and Literacy Leadership. Please be sure to introduce yourself when you see her.

SCHOOL UNIFORM

This term the students will begin to wear the winter uniform. They will have 2 weeks to transition into the winter uniform. As of May 8th the students will all be expected to be in full winter uniform.

Until then you have the choice of either summer or winter uniform. The students are to wear either full summer or full winter uniform. We ask that the uniforms not be mixed for example no tights with the summer dress and no long sleeve under the summer shirt. NO runners will be allowed with the school uniform only on sport days with the sports uniform. Teachers will be notifying parents if students are not in correct uniform.

Take care,

Rachael Spooner

      PRAYER FOR THE WEEK

      ANZAC Day prayer

God of love and liberty, we bring our thanks this day for the peace and security we enjoy, which was won for us through the courage and devotion of those who gave their lives in time of war. We pray that their labour and sacrifice may not be in vain, but that their spirit may live on in us and in generations to come.

      RELIGIOUS EDUCATION

      STATIONS OF THE CROSS

On April 5th, the students and staff showcased their modern interpretations of the Stations of the Cross.  The Stations are called this way because it invites us to journey with Jesus on his most difficult journey. There are 14 stations, the children and their classroom teachers as well as specialists and leadership all took on a Station. It was fantastic to see so many parents and children attending the event and the response was very encouraging. Thank you to everyone involved and to all those who attended.
