Dental Education Van

The dental education van will be visiting our school in Term 4. This is an opportunity for the students to learn about how to look after their teeth through good hygiene and diet. Each class will be attending an hour-long session.

Permission forms for the Rescue Challenge day

The years 5 and 6 students will have the opportunity to participate in the upcoming Rescue Challenge Day to be held at Hattonvale State School on Wednesday, November 12th. Students who are chosen to participate will have permission forms sent home in the coming weeks. Parent transport will be required on the day to drop off and collect students.

Attendance

Consistent attendance at school is very important for continuity of learning. Please ensure children are in attendance at school on every possible day. We understand that illnesses occur throughout the year and appreciate adequate time at home for recovery when this occurs.

We ask that parents who drop their children off at school before 8:00am please sign them in at the office. This is a requirement from the department.

Library

Just a friendly reminder that library is on Thursdays along with PE and Music.  There are still a number of students who are forgetting their library books. If you could remind your child to put their bag in their school bag on Wednesday night that would be greatly appreciated.

P & C News

Our P & C are busy organising the upcoming Colour Fun Run. This is proving to be an outstanding success with our small school of 58 children already raising $ 4848.88 as of 24th October. The culmination of this fundraiser will be a Colour Fun Run to be held from 2:00pm to 3:00pm on Friday 14th November. Students need to wear a white T shirt on the day. There will be a bubble machine, water slide and obstacle course for the students to enjoy. Due to the fun run being held on Friday, parade will be held on Thursday 13th of November. Our P & C are working hard to provide lots of activities for our students to participate in. Thank you to all families who put in orders and provided containers for the Halloween cupcakes and cookies. Remember that large orders will be ready to pick up this Friday afternoon. Breakfast club on a Monday morning is another activity they provide for our students. They are always looking for volunteers to help out in any small way.

Always try your very best
