From the Business Manager

South Creek Road Car Park
I am pleased to report that parents following the no right turn signs out of the car park continues to positively impact the operations every day.  However, we had a terrible day in the car park recently where the entire operation was brought to a stand-still resulting in many parents venting their frustrations on the staff.  The main cause seemed to be quite a few parents (who were not collecting Kindergarten or ECC children), parking in the car park or waiting for a park to open up, at the busiest part of the day.  When this was added to the parents who like to arrive well before dismissal time and start the queue that extends out of the gate and to the round-about, the whole thing crashed to a halt and the tempers rose.

So please, in order to keep the car park safe for your children, please follow the very basic rules, which include:

  • Do not arrive before dismissal time for your child.  The children are supervised until 3:45 at the gate.  The process will be much pleasanter if there isn’t a queue of parents who won’t move.
  • Do not park in the car park at drop off or pick up times unless you are collecting or dropping off an ECC or Kindergarten child.  Parking is 15 minutes only at those times and only for those categories of parent.
  • Follow the instructions of those running the car park.  They do it every day, they can see the whole operation, and know the best way to keep the traffic moving as safely as possible.
  • Do not turn right onto South Creek Road between: 8-8:45am and 3-3:45pm (Term time only)

The staff who work on the car park every day and who have devised these rules based on their experience are only doing this unpleasant duty to keep your children safe.  Please respect them.
