Well done to K2 -  no unexplained absences at all! Fantastic effort from all parents and caregivers.

HEALTH TIPS

Cyberbullying - How to Spot It

Many young people who are being bullied online won’t tell their parents because they are ashamed or worried about losing their computer privileges. Warning signs that your child may be being cyberbullied include:

·         being upset during or after using the internet

·         withdrawing from friends and activities, avoiding school or group gatherings

·         being moodier than usual, showing obvious changes in behaviour/sleep/appetite

·         spending much longer than usual online, or refusing to use the computer at all

·         exiting or clicking out of a computer activity if a person walks by

·         bringing home lower marks than usual

·         ‘acting out’ in anger at home

·         having trouble sleeping, and/or

·         frequently complaining of feeling sick, headaches/stomach aches.

UNIFORM SHOP CO-ORDINATOR POSITION VACANCY

As my son will be in year 6 next year, and I now have a regular part time job, it is time to advertise for my replacement.

Running the uniform shop for the past 3 years has been a rewarding experience for me :).

The Volunteer Uniform Shop Coordinator needs to have reasonable computer skills as well as their own computer and printer.  Experience in clothing or retail would be an advantage but not necessary.  Training and support will be provided.  The hours of operation can vary, anywhere from 3 hours per week in slow periods, to 20ish hours in our busiest back to school period.  While the school and uniform shop relies on you being available at certain times and on particular dates, you can make the hours your own outside of this.

If no one can take on this role, the P&C will have to send the uniform shop to the "Uniform Concepts" store which will likely be in Joondalup, and there will no longer be a uniform shop onsite.

If you are interested to know more, please email Sue at  Rawlinson.uniforms@gmail.com. or speak to any P&C member.

UNIFORM SHOP

The Uniform Shop has moved!

The uniform shop is now located in C block in the art room.

Kindy Orientation, Uniform shop Open

This year's Kindy orientation is Thursday 24th November. (4 weeks away!).

To have the shop open, volunteers are needed.  We generally need 7 helpers, this allows us to keep the wait times down, you can volunteer for either of the session times.

I realise we are a little out of the habit of doing the open days, but this is a great way to meet other parents at the same time as helping the P&C and school.

The  Uniform Shop is proposed to be open from 12-1pm, then open 2.00-3.15pm (up to 3:30pm), either side of the presentation.  I would like some volunteers to help set up and pack up also.

If you are able or interested in helping please email me at rawlinson.uniforms@gmail.com or add your name to the volunteer signup sheet in the office.

Uniform Shop Closure for 2022 and reopening for 2023.

The uniform shop will be closing on the 24th November 2022.  Qkr! will be closed at the end of the day on the 24th and final deliveries will be made by the following Monday 28th. Paper orders will not be accepted from the 24th onwards.

Uniform shop will reopen for 2023 on Qkr! approximately 2 weeks before school starts.  The January open days are usually the week before back to school, dates and times to be confirmed.

Second hand items needed!

Currently we have limited second hand stock!

Lately I have not been able to fulfill all requests for second hand items.  So I would like to ask for families to donate your no longer needed, washed, clean uniform items so that we may be better able to fulfil these requests.  This will be especially necessary to have a good stock of second hand items due to the price rise next year.  The Uniform Donations tub is in the undercover area near the canteen, or you could give them to the office for them to pass on to me.  We can even accept the not so nice, as those items get passed to the office for accident days.
