Information was sent home regarding codes to use to login to School Interviews online. Regional Cross Country
The Regional Cross Country carnival was held yesterday. We had 12 students representing our school and our Lansdowne Zone. Our students tried their very best and many of them achieved a personal best with their times. Unfortunately, none of our students will be going onto the State carnival but there were six students from our zone who will go onto State. Well done to our students for their great sportsmanship and excellent behaviour. Thank you to our teachers Ms Avero and Mr Chand who were managing the team. Thank you to Mrs Lim and Miss Ho who were part of the teaching team who organised the Zone Cross Country carnival for the Lansdowne Zone.
P&C Meeting
Our next meeting for our P&C will be held on Friday 24 June at 9am. It will take place in the library. Please come along and have a cup of tea and a biscuit and listen to what will be discussed. It is your opportunity to hear from school staff about things happening within the school and also for you to be a part of a community group working towards providing opportunities for the students at Canley Vale PS.
2023 Enrolments
We are now accepting enrolments for Preschool and Kindergarten 2023. All families within our school intake zone will be accepted, provided all documentation is submitted.
Families who are out of our school area can request an ‘Out of Area’ application package and complete an enrolment form. The ‘Out of Area’ panel will meet regularly in Term 3 to discuss these applications and make decisions of acceptance or non-acceptance.
Stage 3 Camp to the Snow
Next Monday 20 June we have 126 students heading to the snow with 10 staff members for three days. The students need to arrive at 6:40am and go straight to the hall with their luggage. The students will be marked off on their class lists and then board the coaches for the journey to Jindabyne. Students are not to bring money or devices (no phones) to camp as per the information sent home last week. If you require further information please call or email the school office.
It will be important for parents/carers to keep an eye out on messages through Skoolbag for the approximate time when the coaches will return on Wednesday 22 June. I’m sure we will be able to keep an eye on updates of what the students will be doing through our Facebook site over the three days.
Health Care Plans
There are a number of families that need to return their child’s Health Care Plans. They need to be signed and dated on the back page. I will be calling families next week if these are still outstanding. It is extremely important that if your child has a medical condition that requires a health care plan, that the school has a copy so we are able to follow the doctor’s plan in the event of an emergency.
