BIDWILL Public School

Term 1, Week 4

MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Dear Parents / Caregivers

Week Three Already!

By now, all classes have been formed and are now very settled which is fantastic. All students and staff have been working well to establish routines and learning timetables.

Playground Play

With nearly three weeks down, we have gathered positive feedback about the split lunch times. Staff are working closely with students to further develop play, social skills and new friendships.

P&C Special Meeting

On Thursday, 13th February a special P&C meeting was held to vote for or against its dissolution. After counting the votes the P&C were not in favour of a dissolution.

At this stage, we cannot program an AGM (Annual General Meeting) until certain requirements are followed.

At this same meeting, it was decided that another group would like to be formed. More information to follow regarding this.

Little Free Library

Our brand new library will be operating from Monday 17th February. The library will be outside the community room before after school each day.

Parents and carers are welcome to come along and choose a book with their child to take home and share. Books can be returned when finished and swapped for another great story.

Enjoy reading!!

Yours in education,

Janine Macky

PBL - Positive, Behaviour for Learning

In Line, On Time, By 9

There are many benefits your child will gain from arriving on time to school. Arriving on time ensures your child doesn’t miss out on the important learning activities that happen early in the day when they are most alert, it helps them learn about routines and commitment, and it makes children feel good about themselves!

This term we continue to make it exciting to arrive on time. Every child who is in line, on time, by 9 will receive a ticket to go into the weekly and end of term draw for some amazing prizes! But remember - they need to be in line, on time, by 9 if their name is drawn to receive the prize.

PARENTS- Please order your child's lunch in the morning, this will ensure they receive their desired food and you are able to help them make a healthy choice.

You can also order lunches through our online ordering system Flexischool.
