Welcome to Term 1, Week 2 of 2021.
I trust you all had a wonderful break over Christmas and New Year with loved ones and have started 2021 refreshed and ready to have a fantastic year.
First of all, welcome back to our year 1-6 students who joined us for their first day last Friday, it was great to see all of your smiling faces once again. Secondly, welcome to our newest recruits, the lovely Kindergarten students that joined us on Monday. Everyone is settling in wonderfully and ready to learn. On that note, thank you to all the parents who have co-operated with Department directives on the guidelines for coming onto the school grounds. We appreciate that it may be difficult to leave your little ones, without seeing them off for more than a few seconds, but it is necessary and we appreciate your support.
In regards to pick up procedures, just a reminder that Kindergarten students for this week till Friday, that pick-up time for them is 2:30 PM and pick up is from the SaCC centre. From Monday, they will finish at 2:55 PM, the same as years 1-2 pick-up procedures, from the top gate. With all other years being dismissed from other exits at 3:00 PM.
We have commenced our sales on Book packs this week, initially set up outside of the canteen from 8:30 AM. It is great to see so many students getting prepared for the year already. Don’t forget that each book pack that is purchased before the cut-off date, gets a $10 QBD GV in their pack as well to spend how they wish. Also keep in mind that the cost of the book packs also include entry into and transport to the Athletics carnival later in the year, and entry into Life Education and the Planetarium also, therefore representing excellent value for money, and saving you time later in the year with permission slips. Sales for the book packs can now be made online also, or cash/eftpos payments are accepted at the front office.
Some dates to remember, we have our annual school swimming carnival coming up on Monday the 22nd February. It will be held at Wyong pool and is always a great day, one that students and staff alike enjoy. We also have our School Photo day coming up it will be held on Friday the 19th March. More information and payment slip to come. Also, we have the School Dental Van visiting us from the 11th March through to the end of term, and once again notes and permission slips will go out in due time regarding this.
