Dear Jamberoo Public School Community,
This week has been heavily focused on swimming. Students in Years One and Two have been heading to Kiama Leisure Centre each day to participate in the Swim Scheme program. It has been a wonderful opportunity for our younger students to improve their swimming skills, increase confidence in the water and refine their stroke development.
Tomorrow, Year 4 & 5 students from Walabi will be attending what promises to be an adventurous and fun excursion at the Lake Illawarra Foreshore. Hopefully it is a warm and sunny day.
On Friday of next week, our wonderful Stage 2 choir will be performing at the school’s assembly. I am certain that the choir will provide a whole lot of entertainment, I encourage all of our families to attend.
Also, next Friday, the High Potential and Gifted Class Expo will be held at Minnamurra Public School. Nyasa and Reece have attended the class each week and will have the opportunity to show off their learning and creativity at next week’s expo. We very much look forward to engaging and interacting with Nyasa and Reece at the exhibition.
Student Enrolments 2023
If you, or anyone else you know, is planning to enrol children at Jamberoo Public School in 2023 it is vital that you contact the school as soon as possible to confirm the enrolment(s). Alternatively, if you know that in 2023 you will be relocating from Jamberoo and your child/children will not be enrolling at the school it is very important that you make this known to us, so we have an accurate picture of student numbers for next year. Your cooperation and communication in this matter is very much appreciated.

A reminder that our annual Presentation Day will be on Friday 9th December in our school hall. The ceremony will commence at 9:30am and will conclude at approximately 11:30am. All parents and families are welcome.
Community Survey
The school is proactive in requesting feedback from our school community regarding all aspects of school life at Jamberoo Public School. This term, we will be actively seeking the school community’s opinions in these key areas:
· What is the school doing well and where can we improve?
· Communication
· Reporting student achievement.
All feedback provided will be evaluated and analysed and will assist in future whole school planning. The first survey, school progress and where to next was sent on Monday 24th October on Class Dojo. Please find a link to the survey below: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSe8rLa4C2FoCum7Mazop6usxT3pkFhMsN5QASf94Ei5aBy0Ew/viewform?usp=sf_link
It would be greatly appreciated if responses could be provided before 3pm tomorrow. Thank you everyone in advance for taking the time to share your thoughts on our wonderful school.
Newsletter Calendar
Please take the time to read over the Term Four calendar in today's newsletter. There are many important and exciting events coming up this term. At this stage, there are still some end of year activities that have not been confirmed. Keep a look out for the events to be added to the calendar in the near future.
Pre-School Visits
During Week 6, Monday 14th November – Friday 18th November, the school is very much looking forward to having our future Kindergarten students come up and visit us. The preschool children will be joining our students for lunch each day then they will join in with our fun lunch time activities. This provides our future enrolments the opportunity to orientate themselves with the school and develop relationships with our current students. We look forward to seeing the preschool children at our wonderful school in three weeks’ time.
ICAS (International Competitions and Assessments for Schools)
The Writing assessment was completed last term. The results achieved by Jamberoo students were commendable. The school had 6 participants from Years 3 to 5. Of those participants, we had one distinction, one credit and two participation awards.
