Dear Parents and Carers,
Welcome back to all our wonderful families and a special welcome to our new families who are joining Sutton Public School, we look forward to getting to know you and your children. Please ensure you read our newsletter which is published each week on Skoolbag. A link can also be found on our school website.
It has been a wonderful start to the new year. The school opened to students from Years 1 to 6 on Tuesday. It was a beautifully calm day with students enjoying meeting up with their teachers and peers once again after a restful break. Kindergarten began their adventure into “big school” today. Congratulations to them all on a great day.
The community is warmly encouraged to step through the gate once again and look forward to your involvement in all the activities we plan through the year. We are deligthed to be holding the Sutton Country Fair on Satruday 18th March. This will be a great community event.
Staffing for 2023
Once again, we are lucky to have wonderful teachers at our school and 2023 is no exception. We warmly welcome Mr Jack Taylor and Mrs Erin Casey, who are all new to our school this year. We welcome Mrs Zoe Wood who returns to the classroom after leading our Learning and Support program. We also welcome Mr Colin Lucre in a temporary role as classroom teacher.
Our classes for 2023 are listed below. Please remember the class teacher is the first “port of call” to discuss any issues you may have as they are with your child every day and know them very well. Teachers will be sending home a class newsletter to inform you of classroom routines and topics of study in Term 1. They look forward to meeting parents at our “Meet the Teacher” BBQ to be held in week 5 on Tuesday 21st February.
