Friday saw us say a sad but excited farewell to our dear 2/3 teacher, Carla HIllsley. We wish her the very best of luck on her new adventure and cannot wait to meet her new bundle of joy soon! Ryan is ready and rearing to go this week and cannot wait to jump into taking our 2/3 class on a new adventure.
We were super excited to welcome Cindy McLeish to school on Friday morning to our special Captains assembly. Not only did we announce our Term 1 Echidna Council Members and new House Leaders but we were so proud to announce Ivy D and Lilah M as our 2020 School Captains, Archer D as our 2020 Sports Captain and Kelly M as our 2020 Student Voice Captain. We cannot wait to see what they achieve as a group here at STAPS.
We had a breif but positive final School Council meeting on Thursday night, discussing our plans both within and beyond the school in 2020. Look out for detailed communication soon on how you can join the new School Council for 2020. This is a crucial role in keeping our school functioning and prospering and if you're passionate about our school and your child's education, please give a thought to joining our great little council.

- Grade 6 Leadership Day on Thursday and
- Bike Education commencing on Friday

We also have enjoyed and and are thankful for the great range of parents that come in and take part in great activities with our student each week. Whether it be gardening or reading, we thank every volunteer we have in our school! Please do not hesitate to ask your child's teacher about how you can get involved.
