School Production Update
The students have been working hard to continue to learn and practise their parts for our upcoming production on December 19th. We thank Eliza GREATLY for the time and effort that she's putting in, not only with the play but with costmes! How great do the Prep/One masks look?! If you do have any questions about the performance, please come and see the school staff.
We'd love to hear what you've got to say!
We're busy prepping for 2020 and we're alreayd recieveing some fantastic feedback from some parents, students and our staff about the improvements and changes they'd like to see at STAPS in 2020. We would LOVE to hear what you've got to say.
Please come and meet with Mel and myself for a chat tomorrow at 9am or on Thursday at 3pm for a casual chat.
Remembrance Day
STAPS showed their respect for soldiers of war this Remembrance Day on two occasions. We're very proud of the way that Sam B and Tom B represented our school at the Hurstbridge service on Saturday, laying a wreath on behalf of our school. On Monday we all paused for two minutes silence, at 11am, remembering those who fought for us, followed by many family stories.
Safety Drills
As required by our OHS processes, on Monday we practised our lockdown drill at school. We were so proud of the maturity that the students showed and helpful feedback and reflection that we had afterwards.
Seniors High Tea
Our senior students were thrilled to be invited to serve a lovely group of local seniors at the Annual Wadamuk Seniors High Tea last week. They showed respect and great positivity, sharing food around to the guests and engaging in polite conversation.
Christmas Market - Change of Date - Tuesday December 10th
We hope you've marked this in your calender for December! The senior students have been working hard, preparing their stalls for their special night and the 2/3 and Prep/1 classess have some treats in store for the night as well! Following some feedback from parents (thank you), we're excited to announce that we'll be having our School Christmas Market on Tuesday Devember 10th.
2020 Transition Sessions
With 2020 fast approaching it's time to get sorted for next year. We've finalised our transition sessions for our new students and look forward to having whole school transitions alongside the new prep's visits. For those of you with children starting, we look forward to seeing you there!
Do you have a green thumb and some spare time?
Thanks to the bouts of sunshine and rain over the last few weeks, our garden is brusting at the scenes. Weeds included... If you've got some time after drop off, before pick up or on the weekend, we'd love some help to pull these slippery suckers out of the ground.
