Dear Parents/Caregivers

Tena koutou nga mihi ki a koutou - greetings to you all.

We trust that everyone had a relaxing school holiday break and that everyone is ready for the short final term ahead.

Welcome

We would like to welcome Mrs Jenny Collinson to St Patrick's School as the Rata teacher for term four.

Welcome

We would also like to welcome two new families to the St Patrick's school community.

This week we have three new students, Mason and Ruby who started in Totara and Ana who started in Matai.

Congratulations

We are so pleased to announce that Mrs Woodward had a beautiful baby boy on Monday morning.  We wish her and her family all the best and send prayers that Mrs Woodward will get some well deserved rest.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Mrs Woodward for all her wonderful efforts as the teacher of Rata.

Friday Sausages

Thank you to everyone who has helped with sausages this year.  Your help is truly appreciated.  There is a roster in the school office for anyone who would be kind enough to help out this term.  At this stage there are no helpers for this week.  If you can help out, please add your name to the roster located on the noticeboard by the office door.  Thank you very much.

Sunhats

A reminder that as part of the school uniform for term four, sun hats are required to be worn daily.  Thank you.

Subway

A parent has arranged Subway lunches to be available from next week.  Below is the price/order form and and ingredient information guides.  A confirmation notification will be sent out later this week to confirm the day Subway will be available and the process of orders.  Please be advised that Sushi will no longer be available.

With Sympathy

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Cadigan family with the recent passing of their cherished husband and father.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon him.  May he rest in peace.

PTA Meeting

Wednesday 24th October, 7.15 pm in the School Staffroom.  Anyone is welcome to attend our monthly meetings, you are not committed to join, but we would love your company and ideas

Kaiapoi Christmas Santa Parade

Saturday 1st December, Parade time is 1.30pm.

WE NEED PARENTS TO HELP CREATE OR WE DON’T PARTICIPATE!

We would love to enter again this year but it will depend if we get enough parents to help. This year we can enter a float or folley (trolley from New World) the folley is new this year and might be an easier option.  Last year we won the Santa Parade and received $500.00 from Men at Work, let’s make it two years in a row.  We have a PTA Meeting next Wednesday 24th October at 7.15pm in the Staffroom and welcome anyone to join us to discuss ideas etc.  You don’t have to stay for the whole meeting, if you are unable to attend please send ideas to our PTA email pta@stpatkai.school.nz or message us on our Facebook page, St. Patrick’s Kaiapoi PTA.   We are only a small PTA of 8 parents and we can’t do this alone.  We need parents involvement with these activities.

Coming up in the next Newsletter (31st October) we will have an update of what is happening in Term Four.

Thank you – St Patrick’s School PTA
