St Anne's News

17th March 2023

Reflection

Christ be with me, Christ within me,

Christ behind me, Christ before me,

Christ beside me, Christ to win me,

Christ to comfort and restore me.

Christ beneath me, Christ above me,

Christ in quiet, Christ in danger,

Christ in the hearts of all who love me,

Christ in the mouth of friend and stranger.

Amen.

Greg's Message

I hope that everyone enjoyed their long weekend. Today we celebrate the feast day of St Patrick. St. Patrick's Day started as a religious celebration in the 17th century to commemorate the life of Saint Patrick and the arrival of Christianity in Ireland. This “Feast Day” always took place on the anniversary of Patrick's death, which was believed to be March 17, 461 AD. This Sunday we have a working bee from 2pm until 4pm. Focus will be on tidying the school grounds preparation for our twilight sports. Please bring along some gardening equipment.

WHATSAPP

Personally, I know that “Whatsapp” is a great forum to keep connected with groups of people. I know that many school parents are involved in Whatsapp groups and they value this source of communication. Just a reminder that due to privacy reasons, Whatsapp users shouldn’t be placing student photos on this app, unless you have parental permission.
