Principal's Report

Dear Parents and Carers,

End of Term Reward

This Friday Students who have not been placed on a behaviour monitoring card this term will be treated to a sausage sizzle as a celebration of their amazing behaviour, enthusiasm and effort. Eligible students will receive their sausage sandwich at lunch time for those who are not participating in our Learn to Swim program, or at recess if they are going swimming. Congratulations Tomerong on the most outstanding term, we’re all super proud of you all!

Public Holiday – Thursday

You are all probably aware that school will be non-operational tomorrow, Thursday 22 September due to the public holiday.

School Swimming and Water Safety Program

This Friday is the last day of our swimming program. Congratulations to each of the students who have participated in the 2 week program. All our swimmers have made excellent progress in their swimming skills and have all been outstanding!

Tell Them From Me Survey

We would like to invite you to complete the Tell Them From Me (TTFM) Partners in Learning survey. We would greatly appreciate your feedback. The information you provide will be used to maintain our commitment to working together in partnership to further improve student learning and wellbeing at our school.

The survey is anonymous and can be accessed by clicking on the link below:

Please Stay Off Site These Holidays

Unfortunately, due to ongoing low level vandalism of our beautiful school over recent months, we will not be participating in the Share Our Space initiative these holidays and we are asking everyone to stay off site. The School Security Unit will be patrolling the school closely over the break, however, if you see any unauthorised persons on site, please call the School Security Unit on 1300 800 021.

Slime Run

Our Slime Run has been confirmed for Friday 21 October for students who contributed to the fundraising efforts. To start fundraising, you will need to set up a fundraising page for your child. You can do this by visiting plantadifference.com.au and start asking family and friends to support your child.

Happy Holidays!

Our students have had the most amazing term and have impressed us all with their outstanding behaviour, enthusiasm and can-do attitude. We hope they have a fantastic holiday!

Please note, there is no Staff Development Day at the beginning of next Term, so students will return to school on Monday 10 October.

Stay safe,

Rod White

Principal

SRC - MUFTI MONDAY

A big thank you to everyone who got involved in ‘Mufti Monday’ this week! Our school  raised over $155 which has been donated to the ‘NSW Animal Welfare League’. This organisation is dedicated to advocating for all animals and having a positive impact on their lives.

Well done Team Tomerong and thank you to the SRC for organising another successful fundraiser!

P&C NEWS

Slime Spectacular Fun Run

The Slime Run has been postponed to Term 4 and will now be held on Friday 21 October. The class that raises the most amount of money will get to SLIME THE PRINCIPAL!! How satisfying would that be! Thanks Mr White for being such a great sport!

Any student who raises money, starting from $1, will go into a class draw. One name from each class will be drawn and receive a beautiful book from ‘BooBooks’ in Huskisson. There are now many reasons to get cracking on raising funds. We want to raise money for the school, help improve our environment, win a beautiful book…but most importantly…SLIME THE PRINCIPAL!! We can’t wait to see which class raises the most money.

Extraordinary Meeting

There will be an extraordinary meeting held tonight, Wednesday 21 September at 6pm in the Library. We will develop an advertisement for the position of Director at ‘Tall Trees’ starting in 2023. All are welcome to attend.

Next P&C Meeting

The next scheduled meeting is on Tuesday 25 October (Term 4, Week 3) at 6pm in the Library. All are welcome to attend.
